Holiday Food Baskets
On Tuesday, November 22nd we will be assembling the food bags to go with the turkeys to needy families for Thanksgiving. Volunteers will be needed at 9:00 to unpack the delivery of turkeys and at 9:30 to pack the bags. The turkeys are being provided once again by an anonymous parishioner. Side items we will need include boxed potatoes and stuffing, canned yams, cranberries, fruit and vegetables. These items can be placed in the regular food baskets in the narthex or in the parish kitchen. Brown bags are also greatly needed for both this outreach effort and our regular food pantry. If you know of a family going through a hard time financially, please call Colleen, 294-4696, ext 226, and we will put them on our parish list to receive a turkey.
Twice a year, for Easter and Christmas, St. Paul's provides holiday meals to those in need. Parishioners organize the effort, contribute food and/or money for the food, sort and pack food for delivery. Meets twice a year.
