Sacramental Preparation for Confirmation

Greensboro is in the Diocese of Charlotte. In our Diocese teens who have received continuous Faith Formation preparation, attend Mass weekly, are prepared and are ready for Confirmation may be Confirmed in 8th grade.

Confirmation is typically a 3 year program.  Older teens who have not been Confirmed and who desire Confirmation will be placed in content appropriate classes. 

Parent participation is required for each family registering their child in Faith Formation and Youth Ministry. Our Diocese requires parents be certified with CMG Connect. Use this volunteer link for registration instructions.

Confirmation classes are offered Sunday mornings from 9:00 – 10:20am. The curriculum includes Connect from St Mary's Press and Chosen from Ascension. In the last year of preparation, there are two mandatory retreats (one in the fall and one in the spring) and participation in the Living Stations Drama is required.  All years have attendance and service hour requirements.
